How can we have a budget blow out before any fucken work has even started?!
Remember when the Olympics were sold to us as being lower budget fit for purpose using existing infrastructure?
I would be more supportive of the games if we were also getting transportation upgrades and not just new stadiums.

When was the last time you heard of a government delivering to budget? This is widely known that estimates are wildly inaccurate to get things going and when the real costs come out it’s too late. It doesn’t stop voters voting for them at the next election. Queenslanders are hard for Labor. We should be flaccid for both major parties!
Given how long they seem to have taken to get started, it’s no surprise.
