    Today’s episode of Geopolitics: Sweden receives performance review from Georgian MP


    MP Irakli Kirtskhalia:

    We are concerned that in the recent period, discriminatory and hate-motivated crimes have increased significantly in Sweden. It is alarming that in your country’s major cities the risk level of organized crime has risen, and overall crime indicators in Sweden have increased. It is also worrying that shootings and explosions carried out by gangs in Sweden have steadily increased over the past several years.

    We are also concerned about economic stagnation in the country and the fact that Sweden’s economy is facing difficulties due to high inflation, weak domestic demand, and consumer debt.

    Another troubling fact is that, unfortunately, your citizens have to wait a long time to receive medical treatment. Unlike you, our expressed concern is based on facts, statistics, and objective data.

    Taking all this into account, we kindly call on you not to spend resources being “concerned” about non-existent problems in Georgia, and instead to focus on addressing the serious and objectively concerning challenges currently facing your own state.

    Finally, we note that we will certainly continue monitoring and will continue to express concern about developments in Sweden in the future — not only regarding anti-democratic processes.

      Hello I’m from Sweden, I don’t see any of this actually happening. We have a very good economy right now. Yes we have some issues regarding crime in the capital but we have lots of big cities and smaller villages with absolutely zero crime. If you compare Georgia and Sweden the economy here in Sweden and it’s development you’ll actually be able to live, work and afford a house with no issues whatever.

      The MUF as referred too is a political youth group with no influence whatsoever.

      This Georgian person is claiming lies and propaganda without any form of proof or statistics.

      My wife is Georgian and got medical care here in Sweden just like any other patient with direct care. There is not any actual problems that this guy is claiming. We have a beautiful son we unfortunately have to pay birth for since she didn’t have a permit at the time but we’re fully willing to pay.

      That mickey mouse countries like the Baltic states care about Georgia, I might understand given their soviet bloc past but what has Sweden to care about us for local politicians to care about them? The whole story is a waste of energy.

      How can you factually be against what he says. I hate GD neoliberal economics just as the next guy but every sovereign nation should mind their own business. It is very clear that EU and west generally dont care about Georgian people but have interests over georgian capital
