I’m only posting in the Sydney sub reddit as I am based in Sydney and don’t know enough about bugs to discern if this is a Sydney-specific bug or just an Australia wide thing…
But I noticed this sand accumulating next to my front door and one day saw a bee climb into one of these tiny little holes that you can see in the video. It’s a brick wall so I’m wondering if there is some little hive or something in there, but would appreciate some help in understanding what’s going on!!

Some native bees live in brickwork. If you can get a decent photo of whatever is calling that mortar home, someone should be able to narrow it down for you.
Some of them are wasp. Have those in my house, just need to be on top of that.
Get a pest control. Don’t wait for it to become a bigger issue.
Set fire to your house, move and start fresh.
j/k I leave wasps and bees around the house, they eventually move on and other than a little flesh wound they’re not dangerous.
The native bees only go into existing holes. Someone else said wasp, which is likely.
Great native bee groups on facedook

Blue bandit/native bees chill out in em. Leave em bee
I have some blue native bees at my house that live in the brickwork.
Never caused any issues over the 15 years that I have lived here.
The ones that I have have a slight blue tinge to them, they kind of make a bee line to the sky when they come out of the brickwork flying the same path every time.
They won’t sting you if thats what you’re worried about.
