For those who don’t remember or don’t know what we’re talking about (shadow post banned by Reddit): BOSNIA: The Milan prosecutor’s office opens the Sarajevo Safari case, when Italian citizens went on “human safaris” in Sarajevo : r/italy
There is a suspect for continuous and aggravated voluntary homicide in the investigation into the case of so-called "weekend snipers" who paid to go and kill, including women, elderly people and children, in Sarajevo besieged by the Bosnian Serbs between ’92 and ’95.
From what has been known, in the investigations of the Carabinieri ROS, coordinated by the prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis of the Milan Prosecutor’s Office directed by Marcello Viola, today an invitation to appear for the interrogation, scheduled for next Monday, was served for an 80-year-old, former lorry driver, resident in the province of Pordenone.
The investigation was opened in Milan in recent months after a complaint by the writer Ezio Gavazzeni, assisted by lawyers Nicola Brigida and Guido Salvini.
The document also reported the words of the former 007 of theBosnian intelligence, Edin Subasic, who reported having had contact with SISMI at the time.
The former 007 explained that the former Italian secret service would have received information from the Bosnian services at the beginning of ’94, that i "tourist shooters" they left from Trieste. And that the same Italian services would then have "interrupted" those horrible ones "safari".
The former Bosnian agent had also claimed that there could be documents preserved on conversations between Bosnian and Italian 007s and complete with "identifications" of those murderers.
The investigators, who also activated international channels, including that with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Residual Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals, for the acquisition of documents, also worked to verify the existence of documents from Sismi (now Aisi). Already in the complaints presented by the former mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, at least five names of people were indicated who spoke about the story in Miran Zupancic’s 2022 documentary ‘Sarajevo Safari’.
