The liberals and nationals can’t agree on this anymore. Adding one nation sure as hell won’t help.
I’m also offering to form a coalition government after the next election, I will be leader of course but not fussed as to which party falls into line behind me.

If they did that wouldn’t the few moderates left in the Liberal party become Teals or independents?

For the libs, nats and ON to hold a balance of power, unofficially or not, there are a huge number of lib/lab swing voters in non-teal seats you need to convince to vote liberal. Any even slight suggestion that libs would share power with ON will completely turn them off and make some marginal seats swing even harder to Labor.
