Who are the crew for? Is it a news outlet or like a doco team?

I just drove past. Seems like a setup for a media opportunity. I hadn’t seen any flowers or cards there for ages until today. Not hatin’, I just find orchestrated sentiment a little “icky”. Dudes a legend though.

So did a tv crew…

You spotted a news crew orchestrating this shit.
Dude’s a legend, but this is gross.

This has all the authenticity of a used car salesman’s smile.

I think it’s been very watered down his reception thanks to media and news coverage. He’s a legend, very brave man, but the fascination on him being painted as this saviour is killing his reputation imo and the overdoing of coverage is very orchestrated

The dude’s been lapping it up around the world. I don’t really care because it’s not hurting anybody, I just find it funny how little humility he’s had through the whole thing when most people would want to stay out of the spotlight. He even used #hero on his own post in the US 😅

I know he did something brave, but all this performative shit for cameras that keeps happening with him is weird.

Ok that’s staged. I live in Sutherland- the place has been clean for a couple of weeks.

Are they making a documentary?

Love the bloke and what he did. But let the man live a normal life again.

What tipped you off? Was it the hi-vis or the camera crew (and probably assorted news vans rolling in once they heard that another network had set this up)?
Bloke is a hero and deserves better than this staged bullshit that his media advisors or handlers or whatever have him doing.

That’s ridiculously set up. I live in Sutherland, walk past there daily, those messages were removed weeks ago

Anyone know how much mobility he’ll get back in his left arm?

He was interviewed at Eliette (coffee shop) with a news crew in Sutherland prior to this.

Dudes awesome but those kids are hoping the shops opening so they can get the vapes again.

Ahmed is a hero.
But this feels exploitative and performative.

Awesome to see the support he’s getting.
