I understand that this award has lost all of its meaning nowadays, but how can you say that soldiers fighting in a war should be rewarded the PEACE prize?

The Nobel Peace Prize has also been meaningless for decades.
These are the kind of leaders we need.
European politicians should look up to Maia Sandu as an example of how to be successful in politics without being a corrupt double-faced liar.
It is possible to be like her and be popular. They all just choose to be spineless and fake because it’s a safer path to reelection to just let people vote based on ideological tribalism rather than showing your real character and leading by example.

I support Ukraine as much as as anyone but Afred Nobel’s will is crystal clear – the prize is to be awarded to “to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”. Not for being on the good side of a war, and not to amorphous groups of people.
If the Norwegian government want to have their own “Norway likes you” award then by all means let them. If they want to use Nobel’s name (and money) they should stick to the terms of the contract. Even Nobel’s own family criticise the award for being nothing but a political trophy nowadays.
