Maybe he made a mistake? In essence Republican and Trump represented a form of nationalism and free speech, core values of the right wing. So without knowing about the Epstein Files, it still made sense to support each other.

Whether you like it or not, the President of the United States is the most powerful person in the world (still), so better have him on your side than against you. USA have the best army in the world and have the best they also have the best military equipment in the world, as the war in Ukraine confirmed, so it makes sense to have them on our side. It’s bad enough that the Polish Prime Minister criticized Donald Trump and now has very poor relations with him. We don’t need the president to further damage them. That’s what diplomacy is all about, and good business with the US is in our country’s best interest. It’s strange that you don’t understand this.
