The guy murdered 51 people. No one gives a shit about his prison conditions. He deserves to rot.

He has every right to appeal it. Doesn’t mean he’s going anywhere, anytime soon.

  3. He shouldn’t be allowed to appeal, a waste of everyone’s time, money, resources and re-traumatising victims, families and the community.

He has twice waived his right – once when pleading guilty and then again when he didn’t speak at his sentencing. Add on top of that he had clearly planned his attack, i truly fail to see where it is that he has any grounds of appeals

    >…argument that he was not fully functional…

Well he’s definitely a defective unit, but that doesn’t constitute a change in my opinion.

  6. I’m annoyed that the article names the individual. The ABC respects the cultural reasons for not naming First Nations individuals. While not as culturally significant, the ABC should show the same respect to a country that has chosen to remove his name from their discussions of the attack.

Exactly one more second of sunshine for him and the back in the hole till his next appeal attempt

What a clown threw his life and multiple others away, and now can’t stand looking at a wall 23/7.

He doesn’t like his conditions? I can think of 51 people who would love to have the opportunity to experience any kind of condition again. He’s a huge black mark on Australia, and we shall eternally bear that scar. For all the jokes we make about not liking Kiwis we truthfully love our New Zealand brothers and sisters and want nothing more than to see them succeed in life, happy, free, and safe.
