I recently visited Copenhagen and took a picture of this street lamp coming out of a window. I know there must be an interesting story behind this but I have not been able to find anything. Does anyone know what this street lamp coming out of a window is? the rest of the street lamps were just coming out of the wall.

Danish streetlights work hard, and face a lot of criticism. People complain when they think the lights are too bright. People complain when there isn’t enough light.
Streetlights have to live in hiding, but sometimes they want a bit of life, and light (!), too.
And here you are, sharing a private moment. A streetlight daring to look outside to catch a bit of brightness.
