Watching from my balcony right now. I’ve counted several who’ve been hit, sprayed. The police are using aggressive charging attacks and anyone not fast enough to get away is pepper sprayed or worse.

How the hell can we allow protesting to be banned. Whatever side you’re on, this is not okay.

  1. That doesnt look like police blocking off an area, it looks like NSW police running trying to spray whoever they can

I was chatting with an old lady the cops pepper sprayed and harassed. Pretty disgusting stuff

  3. One of the most shameful acts of police aggression I’ve seen in this country. It’s blatantly over the top.

Using pepper spray against a non escalating threat is meant to be a no no. Let alone against someone retreating.

Meant to be being the operative word.

    Thanks for recording OP!

  5. Far out. What a hero that cop is that just fires pepper spray any old place, including on a person who just fell over and a person who is clearly trying to run away.

Happy for police to cordon off areas and maintain boundaries… this is a straight up police assault. It’s an organised march, but it gets a US spec riot response.

  6. Pepper spraying someone surrounded on the ground who has displayed zero threatening behaviour is fucked.

  7. Very convenient timing for the hate speech laws and ban on protesting to come in right as the Epstein files are released and the Israeli rep visits. Very convenient timing indeed.

All the magat wannabe Aussie must be loving seeing this! They want us to be American so badly.

  9. So, wait…has the function of police been the protection of property and established power dynamics all along? What a fucking curveball.

Friendly reminder that Israel trains many different police in the US and I know it’s been proposed to be adopted here. Feels like this is a show for Herzog, “see, our police have potential”.

  11. Australia, do you feel this? Do you see this?

This is what happened in America just a few years ago.

    This is how it started.

Do you remember how we watched shit like this, we saw a couple of Aussie journalists get hit by rubber bullets and that sort of thing?

Do you remember how it escalated and escalated and it never fucking stopped?

It’s not going to fucking stop. How do we stop it?

Well damn, didn’t realise we’d slipped quite this low. Remember this when the voting booths open.

  13. The police are everywhere even side streets in Surrey. They seem to be checking people at Central
    Helicopters been hovering all day.

    Absolutely disgraceful and shameful.
People with their hands up being openly struck by multiple officers.
A woman, standing innocently, in harms way.
    We are better than this.

What the fuck, this coupled with the almost no reaction to the Perth terrorist from politicians and media has got me a pretty concerned about the state of things here.

Shame on NSW police and NSW gov.
What’s with the royal treatment they give to the Israel gov? I doubt they would be this brutal to protesters if it were for King Charles.

  17. For anyone who’s wondering, the church bells were the regular Monday bell-ringing rehearsal.
