Hello all! Yes another parking infringement, however this comes with a twist.

Last summer i had some business in the center (6pm) was parked in a private parking company park. Received a 60e fine.

(To my knowledge without MP parking, anywhere goes, unless listed reserved)

Anyways i contest the ticket, over several months, the private firm and i until they send me a reply quoting "The Finnish Road Traffic Act Law".

My mopo is classified a car under this law…

Ok, but what does this have to do with parking in a parking lot controlled by company xyz? xyz’s agreement is a contract between themselves and the complex manager.

Upon parking in this parking lot there is a sign, in small letters down the bottom it reads "parking here indicates acceptance of the Terms"

    Nothing about mopo’s…

    1. Well you parked there, right? The sign does not say parking here with your car indicates acceptance of the terms.

With mopo i think you can park on sidewalks (if it does not interfere with other traffic) so you should have done that.

    2. I don’t understand what the issue is.

You parked in a wrong place? You didn’t pay the parking fee? Huh? What?

    3. The term indicates that any parking makes the clause applicable. It doesnt differentiate between cars or mopeds. You are wrong.

    4. You can park mopo the same way as a bicycle. But in this case as you have parked your mopo to a parking lot, you have agreed to said rules. You need to pay the ticket.

In the future don’t ever park your mopo to pay lots, just park it anywhere you would park your bicycle.

    5. ???, you parked in a private parking spot, did not pay to park there and now you try to dispute the ticket because you parked with a moped?
where is the logic in this?

    6. I always wondered does a parking Time disc thats says attaching anything to my car makes you agree to play 100€ to me for a usage of wiper fee since that is about as legally binding as that sign right? Anyone here to clear this up for me

There might be a clause that you need a special parking badge whenever parking on some companys spot if it’s not reserved for customers.

    8. This is kinda confusing, but if your moped was a car, would it have been parked properly? Also you could park mopeds anywhere you could park a bicycle, but you dont have to.
