Kazıksepeti application, which was implemented by the Hürriyet Party in order to draw attention to the exorbitant prices in the domestic market after international shopping restrictions, received more than 200 thousand visits on the first day.

What is Pile Basket?

KazıkSepeti is a citizens’ initiative carried out within the Hürriyet Party.

Our aim:

To draw attention to the price pressure created by customs regulations that restrict international shopping by showing, based on data, that the same products are sold at different prices in Türkiye and abroad.

We filed a lawsuit in the Council of State!

The regulation introduced by the Presidential Decree on online shopping from abroad and completely eliminating the customs exemption has effectively eliminated the basic economic freedoms of citizens.

This decision constitutes a heavy and disproportionate intervention in individuals’ property rights and free disposition. With this practice, Türkiye is being dragged into an introverted market order, cut off from the world.

This step, which is tried to be legitimized with the excuse of a current account deficit, actually means protecting certain importer groups and preventing citizens from accessing alternatives. This decision directly undermines innovation and entrepreneurship in Türkiye by making it difficult for young entrepreneurs, producers and researchers to access the products they need.

As the Freedom Party, we announce to the public that we have filed a lawsuit before the Council of State against this regulation, which is contrary to the Constitution.

We declare that if the case is rejected by the Council of State, we will apply to the Constitutional Court and the ECHR.
