      I would say that when everyone earns shit woman are kind of forced to choose employment based on salary not preferences.

      Poland has very good technical universities and a large number of them compared to the rest of EU countries. There is however no scientific industry in Poland.

      At first glance it looks like influence of communists that persitet to this day
      Its actually a very funny thing in Poland with quite a lot of women in technical universities even in traditionaly male dominated fields like IT( still a minority but big enough to not be unicorns, especialy after first year when math exams execute most of the first years ) combined with sometimes lightly sexist proffesors with comments like ‘ a woman.. an engineer ‘, well funny for me im a man and im not gonna pretend i understand the issue. My woman friend ( Yup i am aware the sentence sounds weird i just dont have anything better in my head to express what i mean, blame english language. alternatives sound worse girl friend? Female friend ?) treated it as a joke so i do that too.
