I built a tool that pulls ratings from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes (critics + audience), Metacritic, Letterboxd, AlloCiné, and Douban. I normalized every source to the same 0-100 scale across 8,000+ films. Result: Critics are picky (duh)

You should have included « SensCritique » and « Allociné » for references
That’s pretty interesting. I wonder how it would look broken down by genre.
Critics are not picky, but audiences just think that 7=average
Kinopoisk and Kinorium would be nice
Cool! (and cool website too)
OP try to add Filmweb.pl, its one of biggest movie db in europe with thousands of users.
Thats the problem with the 1-10 scale. Most people dont place an average movie on 5.
5 is already bad.
Same with food, you wouldnt go to a restaurant that only has 3 stars
I usually rely on metacritic. not sure what that says about me.
I’d be curious to see the list of films with 90+ scores on each platform, ie the overlap and outliers
Wait, why split RT in Audience and Critics, but not Metacritic? They have Critic and User scores as well, right?
Someone should make a site that pulls all the scores from all the sites and gives you a total average score.
OMG the site is so snappy!
