The ads are intermittent – can’t remember what they were for (ironically) but we walked through the other day and both sides were end-to-end ads for the same thing.

  2. I think the space just gets ‘activated’ by advertisers depending on what campaigns they are running etc.

  3. The lack of foot traffic in this image is exactly why there are no ads.

A lot of digital advertising is disabled during low traffic time-slots as there’s nobody to advertise to. Most of the smaller billboards around the city are blank overnight for example – the ones inside Central station don’t turn back on until 6am(?) from what I remember.

Advertisers aren’t paying for dead air.

  4. No, it was destined to become *the* tunnel with ads. Not just a tunnel. Not even an tunnel.

  5. I’d rather it not have advertisements.

I get enough intrusive thoughts about sledgehammers and the Wynyard walk.

This is the tunnel with ads, but it has not enough ads, so I don’t know, you might want to wear a hat.

  7. Oh god, does anyone know of any telecoms or insurance companies? I never realised how lost I was without them

I walked through the other day and the whole thing was just ads for something called “Mitchell’s Fruit and Snowy River Meats”. Turns out those are down in Wollongong. Seems mis-targeted to me.
