Been open for a while now at the old Newstead Brewing location next to Suncorp. I’m surprised they’ve still only got a lager and a mid strength lager available. I would’ve thought they would have started to brew other varieties but perhaps that’s in the pipeline. The lager isn’t a bad drop imo but it’s hard to mess up a lager though.

It’s where the old Newstead Brewing Co was, across from Suncorp! Big venue – I hope he does well. I knew he had the brew but I didn’t know he had the venue!

I hope that is a raging success

No way. OMG. I have to go ASAP. THANK YOU.
Not a joke, Stephen Bradbury is one of the most legendary Aussies who ever lived. If you only know about the 2002 Winter Olympic win, do yourself a favour and read at least his wiki page about what led up to getting there and his previous Olympic hassles.

Our Brisbane trivia team was the Steven Bradbury Experience (puts pressure on the other teams when we were coming last). Absolute honour to run into the man himself randomly at a random event – loved the team name. Iconic.

Would it be funny if the Lion and Ashai brewries all shat themselves one day and his brewrey had to take up the slack.

Love the bloke and the venue but managing to get through more than two pints of his brew is a genuine struggle.

It’s a great pub to listen to concerts if you can’t/don’t want to get tickets across the road.

What a legend. He gave a speak at the MIGAS apprentice of the year night at the GABBA and it was so inspirational. Such a good story around the lead up to his medal. I watched the race live on tv in 98 and my boss was his coach at acacia ridge skating rink for a few years. He got a standing ovation that awards night, legit Aussie legend

I mean, it hasn’t been open for even a year yet so you could be forgiven for not being aware of it!

Nice pub. Went before a Broncos game, Steven came around and said hello. The kitchen got smashed though (was lunchtime) and had to close and stop taking orders. It was a bit annoying as we purposely went there early to have lunch. Hopefully they have gotten a bit better.
