"We have identified 29 people accused of sexual abuse of minors in the diocese of Sosnowiec or associated with the diocese of Sosnowiec. Out of 29 people, we have 23 priests. Lay people were people who performed such functions as animator of the community for girls and boys of school age. He was also an organist, catechist and a member of the seminary. We also have a monk (…). At least 50 people were harmed" – said Tomasz Krzyżak, chairman of the commission that prepared the report on the sexual abuse of minors by people representing church institutions in the diocese of Sosnowiec. Dantean scenes related to acts of pedophilia and child molestation by priests, as well as other scandals, were supposed to take place there for years.
