Hello r/Sakartvelo!
Iβm part of the German band for Lizi Gozalishviliand we are finally coming to Georgia in two weeks!
We are playing Lizis "homecoming" show on 27th of Februrary to bring her energetic pop-rock to the Arteria stage. Itβs going to be an emotional night about breaking borders and positive energy. Here’s more about the concert: https://tkt.ge/en/show/31220/lizi-gozalishvili
For the German part of this band, this is our very first time in your country. Since we are complete beginners regarding Georgia, Iβd love to hear your personal favourites:
- What is the one thing (food, place, or experience) we absolutely cannot miss?
- Any general advice for musicians visiting the city?
- How should we best spend a free afternoon to get the "real" Tbilisi vibe?
If you give us good tips, come by and let us buy you a drink (or just enjoy the music)! If you are around and want to see what a German-Georgian pop-rock collaboration sounds like, weβd love to see you there! αααα ααααααα!

One thing you cannot miss is Rezo Gabriadzeβs theatre performances. Theyβre very touching and emotional.
As for the spots and views – Iβd consider going to Mtatsminda (also a good cafe on top of funicular) for a great view, taking a long walk in the city centre (from a bicycle monument to Metekhi church). Itβs winter so the options are somewhat limited, otherwise Iβd recommend visiting Kakheti as it is absolutely stunning in summer.
As for the restaurants – a family-run Nikolozi for a true Georgian home dinner experience, coziness and warmth; Pasanauri chain with a great selection of Georgian cuisine as well; Tsota-Tsota bar with Georgian craft beers; 2 Tona is also a good beer spot and they have awesome khinkali on top of that.
Also make sure to buy some churchkhela sweets in Badagi – itβs the best all around.
