To be clear, unemployment has risen by just 0.1% from 4.3% to 4.4%. To put that into context unemployment in America is 4%, in Germany it is 5.9%, and in France it is around 7%.
Better import a load of people from 3rd world countries that don’t share our values to fix this problem then!

It’s also half the rate of what it was in 1990, less than 2000 and 2010. Also less than the EU average. Hate to think what it’d be like under benefit culture Labour
