Not only is circumcision for religious or cultural reason somehting that should be banned , in this case its done in an utterly disgusting (dont look it up) and highly illegal way but the US maga ambassador seems to think the belgian gov can just interfere in judicial cases (utterly violating seperations of powers) showing just how undemcoratic the current US administration really is if this is deemed normal.

Let 18+ year olds decide to mutilate themselves here if that’s what they want. It’s no business of mine what adults do to themselves. But parents shouldn’t be allowed to consent to remove parts of their kids body in Europe without clear medical benefit or necessity.
And if someone cuts their child’s genitals outside of Europe and comes to live in Europe later, then their child should be able to sue them for damages and compensation, enforced by European law, if it turns out they didn’t want the mutilation in adulthood.

On Monday evening, Belgium’s Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot announced he had summoned White for a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the ambassador’s “unacceptable” statements on X.
“Any suggestion that Belgium is anti-Semitic is false, offensive and unacceptable,” Prévot said in a long message posted on social media X.
“Belgium condemns anti-Semitism in the strongest possible terms. The fight against anti-Semitism, as well as against all forms of hatred and discrimination, is an absolute priority for our country,” Prévot stated.
