The Japanese Ambassador is having the time of his life. I remember him getting on the Boddies in Manchester, and having some scouse (“boss scran” he said) in Liverpool. Fair play. For getting stuck into the local delicacies, he’s only surpassed in diplomatic circles by Peter Mandleson.Â

From what I’ve seen this guy has an awful lot of fun just going out and doing stuff. Seems to enjoy his job and where he’s doing it.
