Involvement of Belarus in direct military actions in Ukraine

If you borrowed a car to rob a bank, you would be prosecuted like bank robbers. And if Belarus allows Russia to build relay stations and provides civilian infrastructure, extending the flight range of Russian drones – nothing?

Ukraine imposed additional sanctions on Lukashenka on February 18 for this additional involvement of Belarus in the war. According to Ukraine, at least 3,000 Belarusian companies contribute to the production of parts and support for the Russian military industry.

This winter, Russian attacks focused on reducing citizens’ will to defend themselves and specifically destroyed electrical substations, leaving cities without electricity or heating. This is a war crime, to which Belarus also directly contributes.

And now that we know this context, we must remember why we are imposing sanctions on Belarus.

It is not a passive country, but an active executor of Russia’s will.

It attacked us with a hybrid migrant attack, to which Russia also contributed. It actively disrupts our airspace by launching balloon attacks. She hijacked our carrier trucks. Actively conducts disinformation and cyber attacks.

Belarus, which is only escalating its aggression against us, should not be rewarded with sanctions or loosening of relations, because it is now a direct executor of Russia’s will. And Russia will not suddenly become friendly to us, especially if it does not get through the teeth in Ukraine.
