Thriving is a bit rich

Dead Kennedys at Festival Hall on Albert and Elizabeth was the first concert I ever saw.
Came out and the cops with dogs were 3 deep around the block. Had to push between them to leave.
They arrested the drummer I think – he was the wrong colour, and the cops raided their motel room the next morning and “escorted” them to the airport and on a plane out.
*Thirteen hot nights in a row, the cops drive past but they move slow. A million people staying low, with mangoes ripe, who needs to grow?*
Saints’ stuff holds up better than a lot of stuff from that era.
