Mandatory prison time or deportation? Nope, just “potentially include heavier penalties for crimes.”
The police need an LGBT crime unit. I know personally of crimes that are not reported because of lack of trust in police.
Laws are just a band aid. Murder penalties didn’t stop throwing gays off cliffs. The root cause needs to be addressed.
It wasn’t so long ago when the police used to do this stuff.
even though i voted labor in the fed im not a mins fan or supporter.
but i guess he has to do something good every now and then
altho holding out to see the actual laws before giving him any real praise.

If Minns can convince Parliament to cover the gaps in existing legislation, good on him.
How does he propose to enforce this when the enforcers are (often) the perpetrators.
I guess if he makes it doubly illegal it’ll stop!
