33 defendants, including Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, who resigned from CHP and joined AKP "bid rigging" ve "malfeasance" A decision was made in the case in which he was tried for crimes. The verdict was given in the tender case, which was held in Aydın 4th Criminal Court of First Instance and in which a total of 33 defendants were tried.
The decision hearing of the cases filed and subsequently consolidated regarding some tenders carried out within the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, the closed Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Private Secretary’s Office, ASKİ General Directorate and Efeler Municipality between 2013 and 2015 was held.
After examining the file, the court acquitted Özlem Çerçioğlu and some of the defendants, who were requested to be punished in the prosecutor’s opinion on the merits. On the other hand, in the file regarding one of the tenders, it was stated that 7 defendants were sentenced to prison for various periods.
