It has been known for years that BPA was harmful, yet companies tended to ignore it. There are articles fairly recent reporting products (even for children) contaminated by BPA, even when this should not have happened due to bans already in force.
And in light of all this, for another 3 years (now 2) they can continue to sell us products with this substance.
Obviously profit comes before health. How sad.

Probabilmente perché parecchia roba in lattina già confezionata andrebbe smaltita in massa, producendo un immane spreco di cibo.
Spoiler: anche le sostanze alternative che si usano per rivestire le lattine sono dannose agli organismi.
