  1. “Liberals are facing sharp criticism from opposition leaders over provisions buried in their massive budget implementation bill that would grant cabinet ministers unprecedented powers to exempt individuals and corporations from federal laws.”

  2. If the Conservatives were trying to pass these changes then the Liberals would be crying foul and describing it as an attack on our democracy.

Frankly, I don’t want to hear from Liberals again about how much of a threat Poilievre is when they are trying to pass measures like this. You can’t complain about an arsonist and respond by drenching the town in gasoline.

He is absolutely right. This is one of those little voices crying out, that we have to listen to. The wolf is real.

I am increasingly concerned that the technocratic disregard for law and decency as an ends justifies the means will be our undoing.

I’m more concerned about this and the lack of regulations about things like privacy and AI than anything else.

    Poilievre can never be PM.
NDP does not gave a single credible candidate for national leadership.
Carney is starting to really concern me.

  4. Too bad nobody noticed when they put an even worse version into the Food and Drugs Act in last year’s Budget bill.

The Minister of Health can already exempt any company or product from the Food and Drugs Act, for any reason, without time limits and with the option to withhold commercially sensitive information.
