I read the first 500 sandwiches are free which is understandable
But honestly i dont think i have the time or willpower to stand and wait in a line this long (unless the line is moving quick)
Do people in Melbourne wait in lines this long, i rarely go to the city

Thats nuts.
Nothing is that good.
When things are given out for free/cheaper with a big queue I often do a mental calculation, I make about $35/hr in my job so if it’s a 20 minute queue that’s about $10 of after-tax wages
Same logic when driving to a cheaper petrol station
I know the economy is bad, but I’m not ready to line up for hours to get a free sandwich yet
A sandwich? That’s an hour or more of standing. I’d rather grab a sausage roll and spend that hour enjoying a park instead.
Another day, another way in which people are sheep.
Imagine finding out you are 501 in the queue.
I don’t know what they’re queuing for. Please tell me so I can stay away from that queue with even more determination than I possess right now.
Those people do not place enough value on their time.
For the Sooshi Mango guys? Mi dispiace
We got to try them on Friday night at the opening party and they are tasty but no way I’d ever wait in a line like that. Insane.
I’m way too impatient for that.
Where do people hear about these kinds of things? Is there a whole media i am unaware of where this kind of hype is built?
Good for them. I hope they all have a good time and enjoy their sandwiches.
I can’t imagine spending 1-2 hours in a line for a sandwich on my weekend would be any fun. But, hey, each to their own.
Are the sandwiches THAT good 😊?
I can’t think of a single thing for which I’d queue like that. No hate – do what makes you happy – but the appeal of this completely eludes me.
Melbournites will stand in line for new air if someone reinvented it
If only it were possible to make sandwiches from the comfort of your own home
For a fucking sandwich !??‽
(I’m shaking my fist at the clouds)
This is what I don’t get when people carry on about protecting our culture from immigration and overpopulation etc, there’s no culture.. there’s just “wait and see what social media instructs you to like and do and then go do that”
Really sad
Thought it was a queue for a 2 bed 1 bath rental in Brunswick.
As a rule, if it takes me longer to wait to order something than it takes me to eat/drink it, I’m not interested.
What the fuck is wrong with these people
Krispy Kreme flashbacks…
Lol Melbourne and lining up. Name a better duo
If its anything like their restaurant then gonna be overrated as fuck
The post has inspired me to walk to the vic market, buy the fresh produce and make one myself like a good wog boy

People are so weird
It’s a bread roll with filling. Let’s line up for 1/2 a day. Me thinks not.
Basic people wasting time for a mid sandwich. Seems pretty on brand.
Even at a third of that queue I’d have noped the fuck out, fuck that. It was like when Warhammer opened at Chadstone and the line was already like 300 people deep half an hour before anything else in the center even opened. One of my most anticipated events of the year and I just walked away, way better things to do with my life than queue
I’M IN THAT LINE 😂
My friend asked Friday night if I wanted to go get a sandwich from a shop on their open day.. A new Sooshi Mango shop… I got there at 10:35am. He met me around 11. Shop opened at 11.
We got our free sandwich around 4pm 🤭 did not expect to wait that long. But by a certain point it was like “well.. We’re here sooooo…” I think we were around 450th in line. Got lucky.
The sandwich was very good. Would I wait again? No. I’ll visit again when it’s died down. Would I have done it if I’d known I’d be waiting so long? Probably not. But it’s a fun experience.
Also Sooshi Mango gave out free salami in character. And one of them checked in on us later on thanking us for waiting.

No sandwich is that good.
Trading hours of your life for a $30 sandwich is economic suicide
Hasn’t anyone taught anyone under the age of 30 how to make a sandwich themselves?
This a rental up for grabs?
My time is worth more than standing in that line for a free sandwich
They’re not very smart people
Having so little going on that you would waste a Sunday doing this…
Nothing is worth waiting in line that long to buy.
