      It’s not a bad decision as long as it’s not retroactive for past donors who were guaranteed anonymity.

      But I wonder what the impact of such a decision will be. 

      As far as I understand we’re already more and more dependent on donors from abroad today. I’m not sure this will help things to become better.

      En dan komen ze over een legislatuur of 2 af met wetgeving waarmee een donorkind compensatie of onderhoudsgeld aan de donor kan vragen, en ga zo maar verder. Altijd een stapje verder gaan.

      I get wanting to know where they come from, but they’re ruining it for everyone who wants to conceive this way, don’t think there will be a big increase in donors. If you donate anonymously, you usually don’t want someone to contact you years down the line.

      Also where do we draw the line? Suing donors for extra child support or inheritances? A new lawsuit to stop closed adoptions where parents don’t want any contact with the kids they gave up?

      Damn, I was considering donating, but I don’t want someone to come knocking on my door 20 years later

      I never donated (I was rejected LOL) but never would’ve tried either with this law in place

      I really do not understand what else besides a medical profile people would want to know about their donor parent. Like what exactly are you trying to figure out, how will this affect your life in anyway, … I mean if anyone can explain it to me I’m open to listen.
