There was a campaign from Tesla, I don’t remember the specifics but it was quite a good deal and people bought Teslas before the tax break was changed by the new year.

This question has been posted several times, and always the same answer ” what do i care about musk ? Tesla is a good affordable car “

  3. Affordable cars with good range. EVs are very cheap to own in Norway, compared to ICE cars, and Tesla often have 0 interest leasing deals.

  4. You’re assuming the regular Joe in Norway gives a shit about American politics.

If you click into the Norway sub, and use the 🔍, type Tesla, and I guarantee this has been discussed to death. Especially since Elon went extra maga manic with doge

Any particular reason why this gets asked like every week?

On your question: because Teslas (Model Ys) are the best bang for your buck period

Electric vehicles are heavily subsidized in Norway. Tesla offers 0%interest on car loan for 3 years, so they are relatively cheap. The government are going to put more taxes on electric vehicles from 2026, so a lot of people bought cars in Q4 2025

Because you get so much value for your money, and most of us are not keyboard warriors out to boikott every company that have a shitty leader/management.

Almost all cars sold are EVs, and Tesla offered an extremely good financing deal last year, so many were tempted.

It’s such a normal ass car in Norway that it gets zero attention, so there is less stigma for those who «don’t care about politics» personally.

I know multiple people who have or have had Teslas, who regret it and will never buy one again as long as Musk exists.

Upcoming tax changes have made many people buy electric cars before the change applies.

  11. Because most people are not chronically online.

Buying the car that is the best deal for them does for most people not have any deeper meaning than just that.
With their financing deal they are a good deal, the competitors try to match the price but do not offer matching financing.

Buying a car is not politics here, its just buying a car.

The have a lot campains with 0 in interest. Then the goverment subsidies el vehicles a lot, we have a lot of toll taxes in Oslo. Just on that you can save a lot and electrity was cheaper in Norway not anymore

I don’t understand it. It’s a pretty shit brand with rushed detailing and trimmings, not really made for our climate, almost nonexistent owners self repairability and also has a relatively short lifespan compared to the good ol’ reliable fossil fuel cars

  14. Because they give out absurdly low rates on loans and cut prices while Ola Dunk prefer not to deal with anything that doesn’t affect them directly

  15. There are very few reasons given besides the 0% interest deal that don’t also apply to other countries. As someone who lives in Norway I am surprised it’s so out of line with the rest of Europe.

  16. Think you will see this numbers change somewhat on your next update. Think it was down 78% in last quarter

  17. Aggressive marketing combined with the fact that there are so many teslas in Norway no one will judge you
