I’m pretty sure they swapped out a lot of the gaslamps with electric bulbs too, which sucks. When I lived in Windsor as a kid, they were all still gas. Each night that whole market street would be flickering a warm orange glow. So cozy.

I have been going up there semi regularly for about a year and a half, I ended up out there one day and really enjoyed the place, its so different to the rest of Sydney.

Worth a trip for the massive lolly shop. Not a bad spot to swim in the river too.

I went during a quiet period and it was empty, decided to come back on a regular weekend – also empty. The American style lolly/ice cream shop was really enjoyable however

I recently visited Windsor to eat at the Pizza Hut which still has the Works buffet. Well worth it for the memories. Strolled through the town and along the great river walk and it was quite nice. Also came across a store called Guy Stuff if you’re a guy and like stuff!
