      I am happy these speeches with all their show of strength framing are primarily being done by France instead of its neighbour to the East. If any German politician would hold such a speech (I know, no nukes on our own) let alone even show such a huge flag on tv you’d all go crazy.

      Just to out in perspective :
      On this submarine their are 16 m51 missile, each able to carru up to 10 nuclear warhead.
      Each warhead is 100 kt (on Japon the nukes were 15-20kt)
      So in theory, the max amount would be 160 nuclear warhead.
      More than all of the bomb that were used in WW2.
      It could wipe out continents.

      And we have 3 more of them.
      1 is alway at sea, and one is Always beeing in réparation.

      In 2022 after the invasion of Ukraine we send all the the 3 submarine at sea.

      Only declared nuclear power in the world WITHOUT a “no first strike” policy.

      France has said that under the right conditions they can and will nuke you first.

      We like to shit on the French but we have to give them credit for cool stuff like submarines, the eiffel tower, tgv’s and croissants…

      This is where it’s all going. From International Laws and political norms, to the politics of force/power. The lessons are now learned that the only calculus that matters is nuclear weapons.
