averaging between 1.90-2.13 per liter, its amazing how much servos will price gouge people's wallets just because someone wanted a distraction of some files.
About the same.
Between $1.80 and $2.19 below $2 is rare but a few on my way to work.

There’s probably some opportunistic pricing going on based on surging sales. Brent has only went from $71/BBL to $81/BBL.
The problem is that the cost of energy sets the price of many goods and services within the economy because it’s a major input cost. Consequently a jump or decline in energy prices pushes up/down consumer prices more broadly. Ships use it, trucks use it, trains use it, farm machinery uses it etc. that means most of what you eat or buy is impacted by energy prices even if you got to the store in your EV.

Central West NSW. Around New Year, a couple of my local servos were sitting around $1.65 for 98. That went up to about 1.75 for the last few weeks, and was still the case when I filled up on Monday.
By Wednesday it was over $2 everywhere, and I saw a few places that were over $2.20.
Regular fuel is around $1.90 at most places, having been around $1.50 most of January and February.

I don’t know the whole economics of fuel prices, but oil was once $100usd a barrel and with it now spiking to 70-80, how is fuel going up so high? Is it exchange rate, taxes, or profiteering?

I filled up on the weekend and got 91 for around $1.56 at Gosford Ampol. Looks to be 1.66 today. Local Ampol has increased the price of Diesel from around $2 to $2.20, and 91 from $1.66 to $1.99 – more than 30 cents. Shell across the road from them is $1.87 so a bit less shameless.
As if we needed more reasons to hate that stupid orange fuckwit.

Australia gets most of its fuel from South East Asia, so what’s the reason prices would go up?
