The Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympics they are held from 6 to 22 February 2026 in 3 main locations: Milan, Tesero and Cortina d’Ampezzo. On the Paralympic Youtube channel you can find live coverage of each race. You can find the program instead Whoeven if in the comments I will always try to put the program day by day. I’m not linking to the official Paralympic Committee website because it sucks lol.
There are 6 sports:
- Paralympic Biathlon: sprint pursuit, 7.5km sprint and 12.5km individual, men and women, each divided into three categories. In the category "standing" This includes skiers with physical disabilities who ski standing in free technique, even with the use of prostheses. People with upper limb disabilities ski without poles, or with just one pole; at the range, after positioning the rifle, they give the order to shoot to a trainer, who pulls the trigger. In the category "sitting" This includes male and female athletes who ski on a sit-ski, consisting of a seat mounted on two cross-country skis, and use a technique similar to the classic one. The category "vision impaired" includes skiers with a visual impairment, who compete in free technique accompanied by a guide. At the range, they are assisted by acoustic signals which, depending on the intensity of the signal, indicate when the athlete is on target. The Paralympic biathlon races will be held in Teseroin Val di Fiemme.
- For Ice Hockey: practiced by male and female athletes with a physical disability in the lower limbs. These sleds are used "sledge" with double blade and two ribs to facilitate pushing and playing the puck. Para Ice hockey works exactly like Para ice hockey will take place at the Milan Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena.
- Paralympic alpine skiing: male and female athletes compete in five events and in three categories by type of disability: standing; sitting (sitting or sitting inside a shell or monoski), vision impaired (visually impaired and blind people, who compete following a guide connected via radio or who uses a particular loudspeaker). The races are held at Cortina d’Ampezzoat the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre.
- Paralympic cross-country skiing: male and female athletes compete in sprint, 5km, 10km and 20km or a team relay using classic or free techniques. There will be five events scheduled: sprint, individual 10km classic technique, individual 20km free technique (each for men and women), 4×2.5km mixed relay and 4×2.5km open relay. Each event will be divided into three categories. In the category "standing" This includes male and female skiers with physical disabilities who ski standing. In the category "sitting" This includes male and female athletes who ski on a sit-ski, consisting of a seat mounted on two cross-country skis. People with visual impairments compete in the category "vision impaired"with a guide skiing in front of them, giving directions on the route. The Paralympic cross-country skiing races will be held in Teseroin Val di Fiemme.
- Paralympic Snowboarding: Athletes compete in two specialties, in three categories for men and one for women depending on the type of disability: athletes with a physical disability in the lower limbs can use a prosthesis or special braces to compete, while athletes with a physical disability in the upper limbs compete without the aid of prosthesis. There are two events in which the athletes compete: banked slalom and snowboard cross. The matches will be held at Cortina d’Ampezzoal Cortina Para Snowboard Park.
- Wheelchair Curling: mixed team sport open to male and female athletes with a physical disability in the lower limbs. Unlike what happens in the Olympics, here the stones can be thrown thanks to the movement of the athlete’s hand or through a "extender"a special stick equipped at the end with a particular attachment system to the handle of the stone (there are, therefore, no brooms). At Milano Cortina 2026, the program includes not only the mixed team competition but also, for the first time, the pairs competition. The wheelchair curling competitions will be held at Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium.

I bicchieri!
sono una persona semplice: vedo un theremin, upvoto.
Eeee abbiamo finito. Buonanotte a domani!
