I built a small experiment where anyone can anonymously share their mood (1–10).

Each entry appears on a live world map, creating a kind of “emotional weather”.

So far there are about 180 mood reports from 37 countries.

  1. This is a pretty neat idea. I figure things would tend towards average as the number of users grows? And there might be certain events which see moods spike in one direction or the other.

  2. Can confirm, am feeling very yellow frown. Not quite orange or green frown these days.

Who is the unhappy person on an uninhabited island in Kiribati? I want to know their story…

I would change the eyebrows on the green shades. Looks like a happy evil person to me

One should be able to zoom the map properly if manual position setting is used. In this case, it’s a bit of a pain to set position manually

  6. This is interesting 🙂 it’s also the first time I’ve seen a map with every country’s native language being used for the name so I have absolutely no idea which countries are which when I’m trying to look at the middle east. I have a rough idea but I can usually see the names to help me lol

  7. Giant frowny face right over Saint John, NB.

Just visited the Website and If you zoom in on germany you can see that the mood in Baden-Württemberg (south-west) is a bit lower than the surrounding areas. I wonder if that has to do with their state elections today.
