Have been travelling outside of Melbourne and had the luck of eating at a “sushi/noodle” place in Mt Gambier. It isn’t authentic food by any means, Aussie style cantonese is perhaps how I’d describe it? Similar to a British Chinese.
Either way, it absolutely hit the spot and is what I had been craving since moving here.
Are there any places in central Melbourne that do this type of food? Plenty of pho places, or more authentic Chinese (not that I have been) but yet to find an “Aussie” Chinese meal like this.
Thanks

You mean exotic honey chicken and special fried rice? Try and track down one of these hard to find “food courts” I’ve heard so much about – you might need to book. They often do a fusion pork dish that is both sweet AND sour – can you believe it!!!! Those inscrutable Chinese!
There’s no way you’ve ever been outside and don’t know where one is
