I feel awful for everyone involved, especially the families and the person riding the motorbike. Horrible physical and mental experience.

My heart goes out to the families of the 16 year old boy and 15 year old girl. I can’t imagine the depths of grief and frustration they must be feeling.

This is tragic, and I, unfortunately, wouldn’t be surprised if we hear of more incidents like this over time.
Over near Chermside where I live there are hordes of kids that ride e-bikes and e-scooters; doubled up with only one helmet (if they’re wearing helmets at all), crossing against red lights, weaving through cars, often with only one hand in control while the other hand has their phone in it, etc.
It’s chaos and multiple accidents waiting to happen.
