  1. Perhaps a ghastly opinion, but this is a good outcome for society.

No innocents were hurt, an individual that is dangerous to our community has been removed from it, and the other accomplices received a much needed wake up call.

Maybe we should make them pay for all damages that occur as a result of their crime, property, medical etc, as well, as well as incarceration.

  3. So my take from the article, the boy that died was one of the perpetrators in the Skoda ?

As bad as a death is, he no doubt had priors.

  4. LMAO. Unfortunately this won’t be a lesson to his mates because they’re usually too stupid.

I want to be compassionate but it is very hard to not fall into something else.

So I will borrow from John Wick. “Consequences”.

A choice was made and the death is a direct consequence of that choice.

Having grievances against a justice system that regularly drops the ball is completely justified (and hell, the correct opinion), but some of you here have some weird and uncomfortable levels of bloodlust. He stole a car, and there’s a high chance he would’ve been let off with little to no repercussions. Therefore, he deserved to die, and his death celebrated?

This is why I’ve never taken stock into this sub being called left-leaning; when the subject of youth crime pops up, the reactionary side of this sub makes itself apparent. Comments here read like what you’d find under a Sky News Facebook post.

Again, a teenager participating in a carjacking, with stolen car getting involved in a high-speed crash resulting in his death is definitely a realistic consequence one could see coming, and we could make a reasonable assumption that, had he either survived or not crashed the vehicle to begin with, he would’ve been let off. But, goddamn, you people seem to be taking too much glee into mortality.

Natural selection, hopefully the parents don’t make anymore and society can stay better off.

The comments here are not it. Yes its good that no one else was killed, but there are so many people here that are seemingly happy this kid died. Its a sad indictment on the nation that so many have lost compassion. His family wasnt part of the crime, but they are grieving. At least have compassion for them.

  9. Oh no Consequences. not a lot of those going around in this country so it’s nice to see it happen. Hopefully this idiot’s death will deter even one person from being a dead loser. Rest in piss wannabe criminal.

a child dies and everyone is celebrating, we are fucking cooked as a country, these comments are fucking disgusting, you fucking ghouls

All the kid had to do was… Nothing.

    And he would’ve lived.

Next thing his mother is going to appear on the news and say what a good boy he was, and that it totally wasn’t his fault.

Is there a huge increase in these kinds of crimes from teenagers or does the media focus exaggerate it. When I was that age I thought stealing a Mars bar from a sev was racy.
