      Look, let’s be real: talking to your sister on the phone doesn’t physically stop you from jacking it in your car. Plus, there were two separate witnesses! Then again, considering they were standing in the street screaming unhinged slurs, these witnesses definitely seem like the exact kind of local experts who know a thing or two about jacking it in public themselves.

      Interesting defence. 

      In their defence filed in the court, Queensland police claimed the recording had been made accidentally but denied that any of the acts by the two officers and the police prosecutor were by reason of Singh’s “race”, “colour” or “national ethnic origin”.

      ‘despite knowing one of the arresting officers had been caught on camera describing Indians as a “bunch of fucking perverts”.’

      Ask young women what it’s like to backpack to India. There is a cultural difference here. It’s just how it is, and how we approach it is our own cultural difference – suppressing any conversation.

      Indian culture doesn’t hold back one second at discriminating against muslims, for example.

      I’ve known several female friends who’ve been sexually assaulted, the attackers were both Indians.
      Any one who knows an attractive woman who has Instagram or Facebook, has seen the DMs.
      The police officer is right, for the most part.
      And it’s disgusting we can’t confront this very real truth.
      Sure, not all Indians…but a lot of them.
      We cannot continue to ignore the cultural differences that are putting people in danger.
