Anyone have any more info on this one? 80 people arrested in Sharabidzeebi of all places, charged with ‘ties to the criminal underworld’. Bizarre story and can’t find any other reports.

Arresting 80 people at once is wild. I did a bit of a search around and the only thing I could turn up with something untoward related to Sharabidzeebi was this Facebook video: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1210120707654868
But I doubt the government is arresting 80 people over predatory lending. Narcotics has been the major priority of MIA over last months so might have something to do with that. Big cross-border smuggling ring? That jungle on the Turkish border has got to be one of the easier ones to sneak through.
