”David Henderson, CEO of the industry body, Water UK, told the BBC: “We are the most transparent industry in the world when it comes to water. No other country in the world publishes this sort of data.”
The cheek of it.
Water UK is the lobbying arm for the industry, by the way.

Not really news, every sewer system has a CSO (combined sewerage overflow) the system is designed to handle so much. A sewage works is designed for 3x dry weather flow (DWF) anything more than that, and it overflows to the storm tanks to be stored and processed to later once the storm tanks are full raw sewerage overflows to the river. CSOs overflow at this time.

I remember when we joined the EU, after a few years our once shit covered beaches were clean again. Funny how a few years after we left they are covered in shit again.
Mr-Klaus on
I can’t wait for the new Labour government to come in and unveil all the fuckups and cover-ups by the Tories.
Remember, Tories said we’d have a short temporary period of austerity to “fix” labour’s “fuckups”. They used this excuse to cut public spending everywhere including the NHS.
In the 14 years since, austerity never ended, today public services are either a shell of what they used to be or sold off to cronies, they’ve given tax cuts to the rich several times, they’ve given themselves pay rises several times while refusing to do the same for other public workers until they went on strike… etc.
On top of that, they refused to hold a second referendum or reverse Brexit even though the overwhelming public wants it and it’s now fully understood that the public were manipulated by the far-right to leave the EU.
Bringing Cameron back on was also a kick to the teeth – the dude bet his career while using the British economy as collateral and then ran away from it all this when he lost.
Oh, also, they made protesting illegal, so there’s that too.
