Today marks the 50th anniversary of the death of one of my favorite directors, Luchino Visconti.
Fans will certainly know all his major films, he is one of the most important figures in the Italian and international cinema scene and there is no need for me to write yet another well-deserved praise, but I simply invite you to join his search for beauty and the tale of decadence by watching one of his great masterpieces, many also available for free on RaiPlay, such as The Leopardmy favorite movie, or Sense o Rocco and his brothers.

Uno dei migliori registi italiani a mani basse. Il BFI (British Film Institute) farà uscire a breve un’edizione in 4K di Rocco e i suoi fratelli che penso che acquisteró. Ho apprezzato moltissimo anche Senso e sopratutto Ossessione, particolarmente per come adatta Il postino suona sempre due volte a un’ambientazione italiana.
Credo che Rocco e i suoi fratelli sia tra i miei film preferiti di sempre, ci sono talmente tanti temi e trattati cos bene che per me è difficile trovare film migliori di questo
Ho visto solo Il Gattopardo (che è un capolavoro), ne devo recuperare diversi. Il prossimo sarà Senso.
