In this video prepared by İsmail Arı from BirGün TV, I watched the Melen Dam file, which is claimed to solve Istanbul’s water problem by 2071 but has never been completed, and the situation is really dire.
Approximately 9.5 billion TL from the state’s coffers has been spent for the dam so far. This figure is expected to exceed 10 billion TL in the 2026 investment program.
Veysel Eroğlu, the minister of the period, said that the dam would be completed on December 7, 2016, at exactly 14:59. 10 years have passed, the year is 2026 and the dam has still not been opened.
There are cracks in the body of the dam that are large enough for people to put their hands into.
Although billions of liras were wasted, not a single official was investigated for causing this public damage.
While Istanbul is facing water shortage, I think we need to discuss the fate of this money and those who are not held responsible.

Atatürk Barajı 1992 yılında açıldı. Tamamen kamu kaynaklarıyla yapildi. O sirada dünyanın en buyuk üçüncü barajiydi.
Akp’nin yonetim stratejisi ozellestirmeleri o kadar sevdi ki artik otoyol, baraj, köprü vs hemen hemen hepsi geçiş garantileriyle, 25 yil işletme haklarıyla falan yaptırılıyor. Yani bize hizmet sağlaması gereken devlet bizim paramızla satin aldigi hizmeti bize daha pahalıya satıyor.
Ama ekonomi cok iyi. Yersen
RTEnin kendisi kamu zarari. daha fazlasina gerek var mi, 25 senedir ayni sorular ve sorunlar. millet hic bikmadi, sanki ilk defa olumus gibi tepki veriyor
