[Apel za pomoć] Let’s help Christian get a chance for a new start and a face without scars

Hello everyone,

I am writing this because I was deeply moved by the story of Kristijan Jandričić, a young man whose childhood was marked by severe burns and scars. So far, Kristijan has undergone as many as seven difficult operations, and he has two more, the most demanding and the most expensive, to be performed at KB Dubrava in Zagreb.

Kristijan lives in a foster family under the guardianship of an expert employee of the Institute for Social Work. Although HZZO covers part of the costs, such complex procedures require considerable funds for everything that the system does not cover – the costs of travel, stay in Zagreb and the additional support necessary for his recovery.

His words break the heart:

“I’d just like to look normal, like all the other boys my age, and that the other, smaller kids wouldn’t be afraid of me, wouldn’t run away thinking I was contagious. I would like to finish my trade, be my own man, have my own family and help others. Thank you to everyone who will help me so that I no longer have to hide my face from other people’s eyes.”
