"In each of these differences there is someone’s interest, but certainly not ours. Our interest must be coexistence."

With these words, Davor Ivoš, a restaurateur from Bugojno, explains his decision to donate 30,000 KM for the restoration of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. While divisions are constantly emphasized in the public space, Davor reminds us of the essence:

• About tradition: "I was brought up in such a way that before we were together, when a church was being built we all gave, if a mosque was being built we all gave."

• About the future: "We often forget that in that history, in that past, is our future. We all live and exist on the basis of that."

• About identity: "We were one nation with different religions, and now we suddenly became three nations. I think it should come back."

Long live Davor for another hundred years!
