Another thing ruined by landlords and the lockdowns (which were based around propaganda about violence as an excuse to kill the nightlife, except for pokies/casino of course).
There should be an expiry date put on COVID excuses how many more years will it be used for bad decisions made by businesses and people. This business was sold a year ago so in other words the new owners paid more than it was worth or they were shit at running the business.
So what’s happening with the Newtown venue?

Another cultural victim of rent seeking. Have another beer, have a poke, it’s business as usual.
I blame Clover Moore. She’s probably organised quite the pay day from developers who want to knock all of Oxford Street down and turn it into an extension of Oxford St Paddington.
It was embarrassing that half of the street was boarded up for World Pride in 2023.
