The process that Adem Gömeç, who worked as a financial advisor in Konya for many years, went through because of the unemployment benefit determined to be overpaid by İŞKUR, turned into a prison sentence as a result of enforcement proceedings and trials.

Allegedly, it was determined that 5 thousand 79 TL overpayment was made to Gömeç by İŞKUR. Thereupon, the institution’s lawyer initiated proceedings in two separate enforcement offices.

Stating that he wanted to pay his debt, Gömeç objected to two separate attorney fees and asked the lawyer to remove one of these fees.

Gömeç stated that he trusted the lawyer’s statement that the attorney’s fee would be waived and therefore did not object to the enforcement file. Stating that, however, attorney fees were not abolished in the past period and different judicial processes were initiated, Gömeç said that a lawsuit was filed against him following these developments.

Stating that he was sentenced to 2 years and 3 months in prison as a result of the trial, Gömeç noted that he was detained in prison for approximately 3 months and his appeal application was rejected.

Gömeç stated that he would surrender to prison again in a short time.
