Hi Everyone!

I’ve been just over a year in Germany and have more received the jahreskosten Abrechnung from my Vermieter. Could anyone please have a quick look to see if I’m legally supposed to pay for everything listed? I’m trying to understand with AI and research but not trusting the results.

    1. This is the utility bill, which includes all the costs the landlord can pass on to you. This covers heating, water, property tax, and other building-related expenses.

You’re already paying a portion of this every month along with your rent. The first page is the most important one for you. That’s where all the costs are totaled. You need to pay your landlord an additional €300.47.

The only thing you can check yourself is whether the heating meter readings were recorded and reported correctly. All other costs look normal so far.
