I’ve seen all the videos online of people complaining they live in Latvia… people saying there’s nothing to do and it’s boring, so I took it up on myself and booked my tickets to see what Riga is all about.
Coming from the west, I was shook at how clean the city is ! I think people in Baltic countries don’t appreciate just how beautiful and clean their country and cities are!!
People are stunning, really. Everywhere I walk I’m surrounded by super models (in both genders), and people even just smell amazing, most people walk past me have such nice perfumes on. (another thing that isn’t so common in the west)
And last but not least, IT IS NOT BORING! I was there for 2.5 days and my days were absolutely filled, there’s so much to see!! So many unique museums, unique monuments and beautiful buildings, wow I was left speechless!
I knew nothing about Latvia going there but I was left speechless, you guys really have it all!
I’m so sad to hear the country is experiencing such a huge population decline, guys come back!! Why leave such a beautiful country?!?!
I was thinking wow I should move me and my family here for better safety and better quality of life in general.

It’s like this: Latvians love to complain about their standard of living and be miserable. This is theater. In reality, they simply compare their standard of living with super-developed countries – Germany, Denmark, Great Britain. They compare Latvian salaries with German ones. And when you tell them about income and expenses in Ukraine, they simply don’t believe that you can live like that.
